Another success. This small round grey fuzzy blob which needs averted vision was my latest catch.

My view was similiar to this..

I trued to find out about this galaxy but could not find much..Not in Burnhams book for example.

How far away is it? Well if someone understands this and can convert it to light years that would be great..

Hubble Flow Distance and Distance Modulus (where Ho = 73.0 +/- 5 km/sec/Mpc)

D (Galactocentric GSR) : 74.6 +/- 5.2 Mpc (m-M) = 34.36 +/- 0.15 mag

Its magnitude is 11.5 with a sbr of 12.7. The NGC description is pretty bright...well that it relative then!

I could not see NGC 407 nearby which only has a slightly lower sbr but a fainter mag overall...Is this normal...should I go on sbr as a measure of seability?

Well onwards and upwards..

I now have two second hand UO lenses. 6mm and 9mm so they will be brought in to play for the next galaxies!
