Has anyone Modified one of these to use for Astro imaging.

It was discused on a Yahoo group as being suitable for Astro imaging its ability to capture video in 1280x720 high definition resolution at 30 frames per second via USB 2.0 seems like a disirable option

It looks very easy in those instructions.

I have looked for one for sale in UK but all seem to be 720 resolution not 1280.

looks as if I shall have to buy one from USA and risk the import charges.

There is only one version of the webcam 1280*720 pixels

often refereed to as 720p which is a bit less than FullHD 1920*1080.

But is still great resolution for a webcam. So you do not have to buy abroad

Looks very interesting, the link to the web site shows detailed information on how to modify the unit. It looks a very sturdy and professional little unit after its been modified. I might give it a try?
