did I see a meteor or something?

It was last night (13th) about 3-4am, I was trying to find something just below the lower gemini head and as I was moving the scope I saw some rather bright yellowish light move from the bottom left in the direction of top right of the eyepeice, I quickly tried to follow it and I found it and followed it for a bit, I took my eye away from the EP for a second to see if I could see a plane or something in the sky in the direction it was, but I couldn't see anything, looked back and I had lost it, it was moving pretty fast, no idea what it could have been though, probably just a plane?

Nope. Aliens. Definitely. They saw you take your eye from the scope and they cloaked.

It doesn't sound like it would be a meteor as it would last for less then a second or so. It was more likely to be a satellite. How long did you follow it for?

A satellite would be unusual at that time in the morning. Most satellites go dark about one to two hours away from sunrise. Could be, I suppose, but much more likely to be aliens.

5-8 or so, it was very fast

I find I can see three or four a night maybe more.

They move real fast and then disappear.

Satellites are white, not yellow.

Sounds more like a distant aeroplane or a Chinese lantern.
