Speaker wanted (person not equipment!)

Recommended Posts

For my sins, I am on the committee of Worcester Astronomical Society. A couple of years ago I rather foolishly volunteered to organiser all our ’Practical Astronomer’ talks and workshops that we hold on the third Thursday of the month. I’m very keen to introduce new and existing observers to new techniques and equipment. We also try to hold collaborative events with other astronomical societies and other local groups.

I have recently been talking to someone from the Worcester Amateur Radio Club about holding some sort of joint event. What would be great if we could get someone to come along to talk to both societies about a bit of the theory and the practice of amateur radio astronomy. Does anyone know of anyone who might be prepared to give such a talk?
