Parallax Posted November 6, 2009 Share Posted November 6, 2009 In its simplest form you could try this as a starting point.Momentarily press SW1. The motor will start and operate the microswitch SW2. SW2 will keep the motor running until the FW reaches the next filter, at which point SW2 will switch off and the motor stops.The tricky part will be to get the microswitch positioned correctly.A stepper motor is what you really need, but then it starts to get complicated.Steve Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have just stripped down some old disk drives which have nice little stepper motors, but as you say the driver and control circuitry starts to get complicated.
