Thanks for that!

Can I ask what camera, lens, settings were you using for this shot...?

Saw your reply on the Moonlite Sonata thread - I don't think there's any need to be binning the camera when you're producing such atmospheric shots!

More importantly, did you make any soup with the poor pumpkin's innards....???

Clear skies!

It was taken with Canon 450d,Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 lens

90 second exposure,f3.2, iso 200.

Pumpkin soup!!!!! yuk!!!.I tried it once and nearly threw up. I can eat most things from the rawest fish to the hottest spiciest curries but pumpkins are definately not on my must have list.:icon_eek:

Thanks for the details...

As for pumpkin soup being "yuk", well shame on you - poor Mr Pumpkin!

The secret is to sweat the flesh first in a pan with a good lump of butter...

Then add a chopped onion and 3/4 pint of chicken stock....

Then the choices...

200ml (ish) of coconut milk

or a couple of carrots and parsnips (possibly vegetable stock with this one)

or as above, but with a dash of curry powder....

plus salt and pepper to taste.

Leave to simmer for 15-20 minutes, allow to cool, then into the blender - job done and plenty of lovely pumpkin soup!!! The ones without coconut you can freeze (we use old 'utterly buttery' cartons - and each makes 2 servings....

Nigella - move over!!!!
