Nexstar upgrade

I have had problems with my Cg5-Gt mount for weeks now, and finally got the pc cabel to upgrade it. I get good conection with the pc and the update goes fine. But when I restart the mount, the screen (on the handcontroller) says "No response". I can't do anything, not even controll the motor drives. The hcupgrade-firmware looks for the newest firmware, but it only finds 4.3, not 4.16 wich I have heard is the newest. Can anybody help? Where can I find the brand newest firmware for my precious telescope?

Not so good you are having bother with the cg5gt...... :-(

If you check out this site, http://www.nexstarsite.com/index.html , there is loads of info there for celestron mounts. I have also e-mailed Mike Swanson re problems I had with a SLT mon ta few years ago. His e-mail address is at the bottom of the page linked to above.

This link, http://www.nexstarsite.com/Firmware/ASGTFirmware.htm gives the version history for both the HC and MC firmware.

This link, http://www.nexstarsite.com/Firmware.htm gives a list of different celestron mounts and links to the required software / firmware for the various mounts.

I hope you find this usefull and you get your mount working again.

If for any reason you still have bother then give D. Hinds a call, as they are the main celestron importer they are very helpfull and will offer advice over the phone, or wrst case ask you to return it to them so it can be repaired.
