Does anyone have or know of plans for building an azimuth mount suitable to support a 6-inch refractor?

There is a design for an alt-az refractor including mount, in Richard Berry's book, "Build Your Own Telescope".

A good book for the starting atm'er - imho.

I know that you want to build one but I thought that I would let you know anyway.

I was looking for a suitable mount for my 5 inch refractor and have purchased one for £123.00. from Skies the Limit who are based in Welling Garden City. It is the fork mount type.

However, I have not yet had the chance to try it out as all my equipment is in Spain and I am in England, so I am not sure about how it will perform. You probably have your reasons for wanting to build your own but I thought I'd give you the info just in case it's an option for you.
