Got my 1st M42 as well last night.

After the excitement of getting the Horsehead Nebula for the 1st time, I had to give M42 a go as well last night.

Strange that all my images came out massively in the red spectrum.. I mean read all over the screen instead of the usual grey / purple. (I am using a modded 350D)

Oh well, balance and corrected and here is a quick and dirty 30mins worth at ISO 800 on the ED120

Hope to do this some proper time in the next few months.
