Storing SCT in Car?

We park our car, a Suzuki Swift, on the street. I'm thinking about storing my optical tube in the hatchback boot of our car. The tube would be packed as shipped, in Styrofoam in a box without diagonal and with both ends capped. This would eliminate cool down time.

What are the problems associated with doing this?

I take the bus to work, but my wife uses the car gets used around town almost everyday. How would the collimation hold up?

I'd be a bit concerned about you car insurance if someone broke in and nicked the scope...

If it gets too hot it will effect the lubrication especially the grease on the focusing train.
