I just had two fantastic nights in the observatory.

I got stacks of 15 minute subs on these two galaxies over the two nights.

NGC253 2hr 30 min

NGC55 3hr 75 min

Skywatcher Black Diamond ED120 on an EQ6

Orion Starshoot Pro III DSI (OS colour)

Stacked in MaxIm DL Essentials, PP in Photoshop Elements 6. I think I am getting a little better at this each time..:screwy:

C&C welcome though...:)

It's just a shame i can't post them here in full format.

There are lots of ways using layers, but I would try this way:

Process a second version where the core is how you want it.

Put it as a layer on top of your current one.

Set a layer mask to hide all.

Then use a paintbrush with white paint to paint the areas you want to reveal (the core)

After wards use a gaussian blur on the layer, this will soften the edges.
