a few variations on the Crescent, aka NGC6888

I recently imaged the Crescent Nebula (NGC6888) using four different emission line filters: [sII], Halpha, [NII] and [OIII]

I assembled the images in different ways, using wavelength ordering in all cases.

the first has [sII], Ha, [OIII] in the so called Hubble Palette (a term I coined, along with CFHT Palette and published in my Aug2005 S&T article: bet you didn't know that!).

the second has all three emission lines assembled in their proper order: [sII] and Ha = Red, [OIII] = Green, [OIII] + 0.3*Ha = Blue

the last shows that the [NII] and Halpha can be split (separated by 2nm) and assigns colors in the wavelength order again: [NII] = red, Halpha = Green, [OIII] = blue

for some reason I prefer the first one: the [sII]/Ha/[OIII] version

I like the second one next..... it is a reassembly of the emission lines as I was describing for anthony but i just boosted the blue more than it would normally be: I wanted more of the color influenced by it...
