Peculiar bright spots around moon

Back on the 16th August '09 I took a photo of the crescent moon with what I presumed to be Venus and Mars nearby. However when I got the photo onto my computer and eventually got around to comparing it against they sky chart in Stellarium, there's nothing there... Venus is miles away and Mars is on the wrong side of the Moon. The Heavens Above sky chart agrees with Stellarium.

There shouldn't be anything there, but there is something there.

I didn't imagine them, as they're on the photo, and the camera didn't imagine them as I saw them with my own eyes and they were why I took the picture. I tweaked the picture to enhance the spots a little and there's actually 4 unidentified dots surrounding the moon! The 2 I could see with my own eyes were the top two.

I am officially stumped as to what they are :):(:)

I put in my exact location, altitude and time...

52. 11' 21.85" N, 1. 28' 41.74" W.

Alt: 132m

Time: 12:49.32

I've gone over it all about 5 times, but it just doesn't add up...

Any suggestions? It's driving me nuts! I have to figure it out :D
