SXVF-H9 Colour to mono Conversion

Has anyone here converted a colour SXVF-H9C to mono without the assistance of Starlight Xpress?

Any advice on doing this would be greatly appreciated as I have a mint SXVF-H9C sitting unused now that I have the M25C!

Steve - if you get in touch with SX they should be able to tell you what to do... it is only a matter of adjusting a couple of presets is all (once you have changed the chip that is)

Hi gents, this is something that I have considered myself over the years but with the MX7c. This would have the same spec as the MX716 mono camera if I changed the chip. The information at the time was on the following site:

but I am sure, as Arthur has said, that Terry Platt at Starlight would be able to advise you.

Framos would be one place (if they will sell to you), first though try Bern at Modern Astronopmy. Then maybe Eureca.

Another consideration is that I hear there is soon to be an Artemis ART-285 coming up for sale though... might be an option and sell the SX?
