For what they are and what they cost, not too bad really. IIRC they are in fact the same chip as the popular Toucams.

You can software modify the camera to enable it to record RAW files. I have one and have used it this way.

For extra money you can get higher resolution cameras with a faster frame rate. It might be worth saving up for a DMK21?

If you insist in having a webcam, try to find a Philips SPC900NC, some are floating brand new still, or buy them s/h. If you can afford it save up for a DMK21 as TJ suggested.
