Pelican Nebula with Pentax 75

Hi all!

Yesterday I did my first pic of the Pelican Nebula. It was not easy, some low stratus crossed and I hat to interrupt for 1,5 hours. Lights were very noisy, temperature 59°F.

350d mod., Pentax 75 SDHF, 9x600s, ISO800, Darks and Flats

Nice image there with great colour on the modded 350

I personally would prefer it rotated 90 degrees anticlockwise as it hurts my neck looking at it sideways to get my bearings

Great image and pin point stars. The weather is certainly a challenge recently.

Is this a full frame shot?

The Pentax is famous for having a very flat field, if this is not cropped it certainly looks to be true

Is that the full frame or cropped, any reducer/flattener? I'd heard the Pentax 75 gives nice a flat field and indeed the stars are nice and round in the corners

That is not a full frame, I did a little cut on the right side. The reason: I don`t know the english word for it, it is the lightning in the corner caused by the amplifier. I cut it off. But the Pentax has an excellent flat field. I love this telescope!

Do you take flats? They should solve the problem you mention

Yes I took flats. That helps killing the vignetting and dust spots - but not the glowing of the amplifier.
