DAVPPK
Hey guys, can anyone tell me if zoom eps can be used in the 'inbetween' settings eg 12-16, can you use the 13, 14 &15mm??thanks,dave
GazOC
It depends if they are advertised as 'click stop' or not. The ones that are click stop 'fall' into the settings and are a lot harder to keep fixed inbetween those settings than the ones that arn't click stop were every magnification is equally easy to select. Astro_Baby
Yes - sort of. Theres a review of some of them in Septembers Sky at Night Magazine coming up.They are not supposed to work well in fast scopes and the best advice I got was the view is never as good as single EPs. GazOC
Yep, but even in expensive zooms the views are rarely as good as with decent, dedicated focal length eyepieces.IMHO a zoom eyepiece is something to have in a eyepiece collection, not instead of an eyepiece collection.
