Attaching a DSLR to a side-by-side bar...

Hi All,

I really fancy sticking my 350D on my mount, and getting a huge FoV - whats the cheapest/easiest/most flexible way to attach a DSLR to the side-by-side bar?

Get a dovetail plate like the one on this page: Accessories @ Modern Astronomy

Either screw this to the bottom of your camera or attach your camera via a ball head if you want to be able to adjust the aim of the camera relative to the scope.

Hmm - I was planning on having the scopes run at the same time - my bar is quite long, and has several pre-drilled holes down its length.

Heres my bar - which I quite like - I was thinking of mounting something in one of those spare holes - but what??

Bolt a ball head meant for a tripod to the bar
