Yes it's quite easy to do so long as you plan exactly where you want the foam removed. There's a bit of usefull info from one of the foam suppliers here. http://www.efoam.co.uk/pickpluck.html

The Peli cases also have the same foam and are a bit better quality than the B&W cases but more expensive. Still it's a cheap price to pay to protect expensive eyepieces.
