Which would you guys choose for DSO and planetary imaging. Though the 2x i'm using is ok would like to get a bit more up close.

Been browsing the net and seen a few 3x barlows but which would be best for my scope?

Any help would be appreciated as looking to buy while the clouds are here so am not missing anything.

I`ve been told the TAL 3x barlows are good for this, I`ve bought one myself for imaging but haven`t got round to giving it a go yet, you could allways ring FLO for there advice also Ian King imaging seem a good lot for advice.

I am about to give M27 a go with a 3x Barlow on my 900mm ED120 Refractor.

Must remember though, with 3 times Barlow, I will require 9 times (square) as much exposure to compensate for the increase F Stop.

Planning on trying to get at least 10 hours worth of M27 on 2700mm

cat, I too am impatient, we havent had clear skies for two months....

we get front after front after front here, but instead of having a clear bit of air inbetween, we get cloud.....

may get out tomorrow or the next day.....

this weather would drive you to suicide.....:-)
