How do I take Flats with the SXV-H9

Hello everyone...

I need learn how to take flats with a H9.

With the dSLR you let the camera decide the exposure, how do you do it with something like Maxim?

Is it a case of adjusting the exposures untill you get it right? Or is there a button I haven't found yet?

just adjust the exposure so the average of the entire image is 1/3 to 1/2 maximum value. Toggle your Maxim information window so it shows, and select "area" from the drop down list.
