I have popped my cherry tonight

Recommended Posts

After my thread in the main forum about the fuss on Double Stars, at the end of last night as dawn was rising, I decided to spend a few moments at giving it a go.

Mizar was the target and well, I done it within about 30 seconds.

Found the double, centered and popped on the 3x barlow.

At 28mm 2inch EP I had it split. Then moved to 1.25inch 25mm and eventually 5mm

Nicely split with very good separation and nice to see 2 stars where there was one :)

Might try a few others when I get bored of imaging or for a break :headbang:

So there you have it. I am no longer a double virgin :)

agreed - take your time, relax find the star @ the foot of the cross in the sky (it's on its side now) and you will find a stunner.

Once you've had a good look at the glorious colours, then imagine waking up seeing 2 suns in the sky, one golden yellow and one blue. What kind of summers do you think they have there ?

Amazing
