OMG it worked. I chucked all 116 panes of the original in and 5 mins later it chucked this out;

A real bit of magic there Ian. What a great bit of software. It is going to be a blessing for Mosaic builders.

I used to do them by hand and would crop and feather the individual panes and stitch them using layers in CS3...manually tweaking the exposures of each pane for best match...

Not to pinch the glory from M$, but you've been able to do this in PS since CS2 (or was is CS1),

File -> Automate -> Photomerge

This is so simple to use, it's renewed my enthusiasm for large mosaics.
