Complete beginner question. From reading a few posts would I be right to assume that Afocal Imaging is as simple as holding a camera up to the eyepiece and snap!!

Or alternatively buying a camera that can be fixed to the viewer then snap!!!

I noticed a photo of the moon by Ashenlight , taken afocally, and it was superb.:icon_salut: Well done Ashenlight on that one.

Just a quick overview of what Afocal Imaging actually is would be appreciated.
