If you get your DSLR modded are you able to get a lens that corrects the mod for everyday use ?

you can get filters to give you the standard spectral response. Depending on which mod you use it is possible to use a custom white balance (for Jpegs) I shoot RAW and make the adjustments during the processing.

I was just reading 'Making Every Photon Count ' and steve richards was using a cannon 450D (i think), to justify the purchase of a decent DSLR would require everyday use as well as astro work.
