Shadow on rim of Sinus Iridum

I observed the Moon very briefly yesterday, and apart from Schröter’s Valley looking excellent, my eye was drawn to a very prominent shadow on the rim of Sinus Iridum, as highlighted in this image I took.

Anyone else catch it?

Didn't see it last night, but did catch it last year and remember taking this photo as it was so pronounced and black! Promontorium Laplace, page from Features of the Near Side of the Moon by John Moore.
