I've decided to have a go at cannibalising my old fuji s602z to see if it can be stripped to the bare bones and rehoused with nose piece for telescope use. Does anyone see any major issues, I'm not bothered if it ends up in the bin, nothing ventured nothing gained as they say. It has a 1.3meg ccd sensor (I think) which the IR filter can be removed from.

what is your thoughts on this as a possible worthy project?
