Help with finderscope

hi all

i've got a 114mm celestron powerseeker and dont know whether i should invest in a better finder scope for it.

the one that came with the scope says its got laser crosshairs(or something along those lines)which works when im indoors looking through it but as soon as im in the pitch black there is nothing.

i dont know if im doing something wrong or its just a cheap (plastic)finderscope.

if any of you guys or girls have got any advice i would appreciate it.

I'm sure this will sound stupid, but I was under the impression that the finderscope for those 'scopes required a battery?

You have inserted the battery or removed the isolating tab right?

i've only just got the telescope

but yeah,its got a battery in it and took the tab out as well.

i think i will try and change the battery and see if that does

just been reading reviews on my scope and apparently the finder that comes with it are complety *****,

so if anyone has any recomendations on a good finderscope about £20 to £40

i was thinking something like this one Finders - Rigel QuikFinder Compact Reflex Sight

but am not too sure

Thats a good choice. If I had your scope thats what I would pick.
