Can anyone tell me what this part is called and is there anywhere I can buy one please. It is not the bolt but the part the bolt goes through.

Your best bet is to contact the importers Optical Vision.   Individual parts like that are not listed as spares through a dealer, but I'm sure OVL will be able to advise if they have spares, or could take one off a faulty mount to help you out

Stripped the threads?

Might be better to get a local machine shop to make up a replacement out of better grade material like steel and tap it for the alt bolt.

No stripped threads it's for a friend he dropped the mount or that's what he said and done this.

I think there are going to be few failures for this part, which means buying a spare will be difficult.
Though I may be wrong😁.

In this situation I would find a bit of steel bar of similar dimensions and drill/tap to suit.
It doesn't have to be steel. It would look really nice in brass😃
It doesn't have to meet the same profile, just have the holes in the right places.
If your friend doesn't have the skills/tools, he should not have to travel far to find someone..
Anyone with a decent bench drill press and metric taps can make this.

A benefit of making your own is that it can use decent material.
Not the fragile stuff the chinese mount makers often use.

Looks like he has tried to tighten the two outer screws with the latitude bolt screwed too far in causing the break. As stated easy to replace with a piece of flat bar drilled and tapped.

I whole heartedily agree with the pair of above posts regarding a diy repair using a suitable piece of metal, nice bit of brass or a bt of steel painted to match.
