Hello,

I got a 102/1000mm refractor about 2 years ago and I would like goto for it. Is OnStep and its kits from George a good option? and if yes which kit?

13kg is not realistic for an EQ3 style mount. However On step have a good reputation as far as I know and many folk are happy with them. Just look at their website and find the relevant system but check for Bresser compatibility. Good luck 👍.

Onstep is completely open source and you can adapt it to any mount (since the gear ratios are all in the Arduino source code). You'll have more issues finding the right motors and mounting brackets for your mount. The brackets can be custom-designed and 3D printed if you are into that.

hi bought this for my vixen GP mount and it works really well. looks like there's an eq3 version.

they are quite responsive to email questions I've found.
