Skywatcher 250 mm flexitube Dobsonian.

Recommended Posts

I have just aquired the above ten inch Dobsonian. I am going to take it to the dark skies of Dorset. I am looking forward to seeing an improved view of the many objects that my ST 120 just hinted to. Hopefully I might get a hint of The Horse Head Nebula, who knows.

I am now a proud owner of this ten inch Dob. Can I apply to be a member of the Dob Squad. Of does apateure fever have to take me further down this road?lol

A 10 inch scope is a superb choice for the autumn and winter skies 👍

When Virgo is well placed, have a look at the Markarian's Chain of galaxies on a dark, transparent night. Working through them, several at a time, with a good aperture at low magnification is a joy 😁

I have missed the last two years galaxy viewing due to personal reasons and would love to get into it again this coming season.

As @John says, the markarian chain is a cracking extended galaxy cluster but to be fair, you could spend all night viewing there on galaxies (and I have) and not cover everything.

I get lost easily and viewing list often get shoved to one side. I hope to get the dob and apm superzoom to work on them, it should be a lot of fun.
