I've just bought this - although I've always associated DK with children's books, this one is an interesting read for adults as well. I've had a quick flick through and it goes through a history of astronomy, key figures and discoveries from 600BC as well as discussing astro-physics concepts and theories about the universe.

Needs to be read on a tablet or other large device - it has a lot of diagrams that won't look great or be easily readable on a standard 6" kindle.
