Trying desperately to get out of my laziness. Work has been almost overwhelming. Many mornings I lay back down on my days off after getting up at my regular 3am wakeup.

This morning the sky was beautiful. First time viewing since the eclipse so it took a few moments to get everything back aligned.

Jupiter was past zenith, banding showing nicely. The four moons spread out on both sides.

Venus was at about 40° above the horizon and incredibly brilliant! It must be very close to maximum elongation. It was so bright  that it made diffraction spikes!

An hour and a half passed quickly for me this morning!
