Atlas EQ-G / EQ-6 troble: handset "freezing" when connected to PC

Hi all,

my mount has started acting weird: 1 to 3 times a night, the connection between PC and hand controller gets unresponsive. If you access the hand controller (which is set to PC direct), the hand controller has trouble getting out of pc direct mode - its frozen. Pressing ESC multiple times will finally succeed, reconnecting then works.

Has somebody experienced that behaviour? Any ideas? I will probably replace the cables first, just in case...

what OS is the PC running, and has it had any of the recent updates, especially for .Net ??

Just spend £35 on a dedicated EQDIR cable from FLO and connect the PC directly to the mount rather than using the handset as a pass through.

Unfortunately, i've already ordered the other 2 cables. But i guess i will get that cable too.
