MBII's eyepiece magnification

Do the GPC's fitted in the Maxbright II's magnify by their stated values? I know for instance that the 1.7x is closer to 1.5x. I will be placing them in their designated placements IE the 2.6x into the eyepiece side of the T2 32mm diagonal and the 1.25 & 1.7x screwed into the Zeiss bayonet of the binoviewer itself. I would like to get an idea of the magnification factor to enable me to purchase the eyepieces suited to my scope. Thanks.

I measured the 2.6 at 2.70x in that position.  Changing it's position adds 0.014 for each mm moved out.

The 1.7 I measured at 1.44x.  And it changes by 0.004 with each mm moved.

I've seen others get slightly different results - but it's clear the 1.7 is badly badged and should be called 1.4 or 1.5.  The others seem to operate closer to their claimed mag.
