Ha surface detail late afternoon

I’m finding that as the sun starts its descent into the west in the later afternoon that the surface detail in Ha in the PST Coronado really starts to pop. Been observing a huge plume of plasma slowing breaking off into space the last 2 days and a collapsing arch of plasma but particularly now, the surface detail is starting to steal the show. There’s an extraordinary filament and faculae show around AR3394, appearing like an eye. AR3395 also has some very nice faculae enveloping the region.

It’s great to be observing again after all that rotten July weather!

First bit of clear sky in over a month and old Sol didn't disappoint. Vixen SD81S with Quark this afternoon after work, amazing Ha detail as you say. Just want the clear sky to hang around a while so I can hopefully see a few Perseids later tonight🤞.
