29/07/23 Sun in Whitelight

This is my second attempt to image the sun, this time using an Altair Hypercam 174M with my 500mm focal length Equinox 80 and a Celestron 2X barlow. The pixel scale is probably still not right. I tried to be less aggressive with the sharpening in IMPPG, though I think this may still be work in progress.

I used Firecapture for the first time to take a 30 second video and incorporated flats by defocusing. However, I think there is something wrong with my flats. Any thoughts?

Conditions were again pretty terrible with mostly thick cloud and so I had little chance to play with settings. Anyway here it is and thanks for looking.

Interesting how you've ended up with 'limb brightening' rather than 'limb darkening' ... ?
