Takahashi pintrope?

Hi, I recently came across a few ads on EB for Takahashi pintrope FM40 and FM60s. Not something I've come across before; would anyone know what these items are?

Unfortunately I've no idea!  The name Takahashi in Japan is as common as the name Smith is in the UK, and if you simply Google TAKAHASHI, you'll get all manner of things Japanese, not just telescopes.

Thanks dweller, Mike, think I've got an answer: there's an fm60 for sale on the Astromart site, with a very helpful description fron the seller. It is described as an aid in achieving very sharp focus for film cameras attached to telescope focusers. So not really used any more...
