This afternoon's Sun. (April 18)

First opportunity to view the Sun in my 150mm for a while.  Nice selection of familiar features, some good filaments, plages and a good size prom.  Scanning round the limb I came across a small but very bright protrusion and following my own usual advice to keep an eye on such areas I was rewarded by a spectacular outburst lasting over an hour.  The surge progressed outwards rapidly and split into a forked tongue with multiple streaks and detached portions.  All around 4pm.    🙂
