Hi

Re shot below taken 24-03-2023 of the ISS travelling between the moon and Venus

Sony A7iv
Tamron 28 - 200. Set at 200 f/l
30 * shots on continuous mode.
1/8th sec @ f11. ISO 200

Obviously, the gaps between the streaks is the interval between exposures.
However, why are the streaks jagged?
Does anyone have any ideas?

Could it be vibrations from the shutter or any wobble. I'm sure someone with better knowledge will be along shortly.

If your in AZ mode then the mount is driving in az/alt directions to track the sky and ISS is travelling in a different direction and the 'judder' is magnified

A tumbling satellite can give a similar signature. But I think that if the ISS were tumbling, we'd have heard about it.
