Mark 127 guide cam

Hi 

just after some advice please…

if using my Mark 127 a 2x Barlow and a zwo120 colour cam to image the planets and moon is a guide scope and guide cam essential?

For planetary and lunar imaging a guidescope and guide camera are not required. The individual images within an avi file are short exposures and will not show drift, unlike DSO imaging which requires long exposures and guiding to avoid drifting.
