Hello Neil, Mars is great tonight,  had an hour on it and took this shot with the phone . Lots of detail and ice cap. 

I had to leave the scope out for an hour to cool it before looking but well worth it

I don't know what would be better the 180 MAK  of 127 refractor ? What would you go for ?

I would go for the 180 MAK , both are capable but the bigger MAK will work better I reckon.
