I am struggling with Moon and the ASI485MC... just can't get a sharp stack somehow. In addition RS6 puts stitch lines in the final image (it's not a mosaic)??? Still I like the rays and the visible terrain relief on the limb.

Hi, the sharpness seems to be simply due to the actual sharpness of the film frames. The left side of the photo, which is clearly worse in this respect, probably shifted during the collection of frames and there is simply much less data in these places - hence the worse quality. The stacking image is always more or less grainy (depending on the number of frames), so usually to sharpen it properly you need to reduce it initially, sometimes also remove noise beforehand. While this softens the image, it helps sharpening without emphasizing the grain. AS! offers a drizzle option, which is also helpful in fighting noise.
