venturing in diy ,low cost observatory

So far this is what i got ,not showing is the rest of the canvas for the sides , i was putting the finishing touches (like the snap buttons for easy tear down in case of really bad weather ) and  the roll off roof track . ill post finished product as soon as weather permits .

update on the observatory and hurricane Fiona, i must say i am pretty proud ,it withstood the winds (103mph) of course with out the cover

Well done, yes I was thinking about wind.   Your say you removed the canvas during the hurricane, but did you leave your kit up there during the hurricane???!!!

Yes Carastro ,actually all i left there was the frame and the pier that has the mount  ,however the frame is fixed to the roof with screws
