Venus both a 'morning' and an 'evening' star

....simultaneously. This is a rare occurrence, due to Venus passing through conjunction (27th March) an exceptionally long way north of the ecliptic. So, for about a week starting tomorrow, it should be possible to glimpse Venus low in the morning twilight and then low in the evening sky on the same day.

It will be interesting to see if anyone on here manages this. The morning observation is likely to be the difficult one.

I got this information from the Guardian btw.

backed up up Starry Night.

Running through the next few days, I'd estimate that the best chance of seeingboth would the the night of 20th / 21st.

With Venus rising 30 minutes before the sun. As you say, Pete, the morning view is going to be tricky!
