Asiair with dslr exposure longer than 30sec

When using the above set up the asiair cannot process exposures of over 30secs. Think this something to do with dslr that is set to bulb. Any thoughts? This photo a single 30sec exposure  with dslr and 100mm Esprit scope on eq6 mount not bad??

Hi David, I think it depends on the camera and the version of ASIAIR. I think some of the early asiair's were restricted in the cameras they could control. Try updating the asiair firmware for your model.

thanks for your comments I have only just got the Asiair plus that is the latest version and  my camera an Eos 100d is selectable on the software of the asiair plus. I will up date the firmware as you suggest and see if that helps thanks again

Check the camera settings match the requirements in the AAP manual:

Camera Mode: M
Shutter Mode: Bulb

Image Format: RAW (RAW + JPEG not available)
Image Quality: L (maximum size)

In addition turn off any any power saving mode or long exposure noise reduction. If
using a DSLR camera with mirror lock functions you should also turn these functions off.

Thanks you hit it on the head turned off long exposure noise reduction now all ok for longer exposures great thanks

No problem, I've passed that on too many times on Facebook to count. I just read the manual.🙂
