12" Meade LX200 EMC F10

Our astro society has been just been gifted this scope and we have noticed it uses a  flip mirror 1.25" diagonal, would it be worth changing over to 2" and if so what parts will we need?

Hi Moriniboy,

I got a 2" diagonal for my 10" Celestron CPC 1100 to try to get wider fields of view, and found that the field was not sharp to the edge even with a FR/FF, using a 2" 36mm Baader Hyperion - so was a little disappointed. It may be different for the 12" and other eyepieces though.
