Samsung adaptor

Hi, my son and I are planning to start shooting the stars....
First item I made this afternoon is a adaptor for is smartphone. Just to see how far we can go with that thing. It's one of the recent phones, and it has three lenses. The centre one seems to be the one we need.
Are there any books to download how to use a smartphone in combination with a telescope...?  Thanks guys..!
Later on we're planning to work our way up using a real camera and bigger telescopes.

Hello

At someone else's recommendation I downloaded this one recently. Looks pretty useful.

Here's another:

There's a load of articles around on the subject. Amazing what you can do with a phone camera these days.

  • 3 weeks later...

Yesterday I took my first picture of the Moon from behind a 400mm Cas.

As I recall from the early days, there are two ways to take pictures. Prime focus and the second way is with the aid of an eyepiece.
For some reason I could not get a focus at al at prime focus. So I took a few picture from behind an eyepiece.
Can't figure out why prime focus did not work...? What's happening. I used a Samsung SP.
