Filters?????

What are the recommendations for filters assisting in collecting as much data as possible of DSO's?

I currently image from a Bortle 4 location using a DSLR behind a WO ZS73.

I have a UV/IR cut filter, but was wondering if a contrast booster or a dual/triband filter like L-enhance or L-extreme would be advantageous.

I don't need to worry about light pollution as the nearest street light is about 7 miles away.

If light pollution us not a problem then I would forget about filters. You might think about getting your DSLR modified if it hasn't been done already.

I certainly have no plans to get my Olympus modified, as it is my main wildlife camera.

I have started to look at dedicated astro cameras..... ZWO533mc, 183mc, 294mc all up for consideration, I just wanted to squeeze as much out of my existing bits before i considered a dedicated cam.

Duo/Tri band filters and in general UHC type filters are beneficial on emission type nebulae - like Ha regions, Planetary nebulae, stellar nurseries and so on. 

They will perform very poorly against galaxies, reflection nebulae, clusters ....

You won't benefit from any other type of filter give your sky.
