Comparing Telescopes on Jupiter and Saturn 11/10/21

Hi Once again set up early using my Celestron 102 GT refractor and my newly acquired Sky Watcher 127 sky max and my Celestron 6se to be honest the best image was from the Sky Watcher very crisp and clear.

I could make out all four of Jupiters moons with one just near the disc.Saturn also appeared the best in the sky watcher ,the largest image was from the 6se but the two brightest  were the sky max and the refactor.

All in all there wasn't much in it but I was just curios , I have had superb views from the 6se in the past so maybe it was just one of those things.

As stated in previous posts the mount for the 102 GT refactor is not very stable and I modded a surveyors tripod which improved stability no end but after lots of use it is to heavy so set about modding an aged but great condition Meade

field tripod and this has proved to be the best solution it is much steadier and  it is suitable for the Sky max, my Meade ETX 90 and my Sky Watcher 80 ST refractor.

With the Celestron se6 mont I have used the Celestron GT refractor which is also very stable but obviously due to a focal length of 9.8 it can't be used for really high viewing. So I can use all my scopes with two mount both goto.

I also had company tonight
